MECCA, Nov 20 (Bernama) - The Malaysian Pilgrims Fund Board (Tabung Haji) is geared up for Wukuf (grand gathering) and will mobilise more than 800 of its personnel here to supervise the transportation of all the 26,000 Malaysian haj pilgrims to Arafah by Nov 26.

Head of the Malaysian haj delegation Mohd Salleh Abd Mubin said the "Ops Masyair", to begin at 11am on Nov 25, would involve overseeing the transportation of the Malaysian pilgrims to Arafah as well as their movement to Mudzalifah and then to Mina for the "stone-throwing" ritual.

He said Tabung Haji would provide 160 buses to transport the Malaysian pilgrims from Mecca to Arafah.

Those who are sick and being treated at the Tabung Haji Hospitals in Aziziah and Sisya will be taken in ambulance so that they can be in Arafah on Wukuf day, even if it is only for 10 minutes, he added.

Wukuf is the most important ritual in the Haj pilgrimage where those who do not make it for the event, their pilgrimage will be considered futile and in vain.

Mohd Salleh advised Malaysian haj pilgrims to follow instructions issued by Tabung Haji so that they could perform their pilgrimage smoothly.

Pilgrims are not allowed to carry big bags or children for the stone-throwing ritual in Mina, he added.

After all the haj rituals are completed, the Malaysian pilgrims will be sent back to respective accommodation in Mecca, he added.
